フィリピン人の最も優れている特質は
「フレンドリー」さと「幸せを分かち合う」生き方にあると思う。
The best qualities of Filipinos are their friendliness and their ability to share happiness.
それは人間の持つ能力の中で、とても高いレベルの資質。
This is among those of the nighest importance, of qualities to have.
でも、彼らにそれを言っても、そんなに驚く事もない。
But if I tell them this, they are no surprised.
なぜならば、「欲張らず、他者と分かち合いなさい」
This is because from childhood they are taught to share, be hospitable and friendly. .
そういう教育を小学校に入学した時から受けているらしい。
They are also taught not to be greedy
素晴らしい事だよね。
It’s wonderful thing.
今、景気のバトンは東南アジアに まわってきているように見える。
It seems to me, that in the global economic relay the baton is soon to be passed to South East Asia.
経済が豊かになると精神的な物よりも、物質的な価値が優先され始める。
With economic growth gaining wealth takes priority over mental health.
そして自分たちが誰であるのかも見失い始め、ストレスの病が多発する。
In this case people will lose their true selves and be affected by stress and mental problems.
物質的に豊かな日本は、精神的な豊かさを求める時代になってきた。
Japan is materially wealthy and is now seeking spiritual enrichment.
精神的に豊かなフィリピンは、物質的な時代に突入しようとしている。
The Philippines is spiritually wealthy and is now seeking material enrichment.
シャイな日本人に、フレンドリーなフィリピン人。お互いに学ぶところはたくさんある。
Japanese are shy, Filipinos are friendly, so we can help each other improve.
でも、忘れないで欲しい。
あなた達が持つ素晴らしい特性を。
But please don’t outgrow these wonderful qualities,
それはこれからの時代、地球全てに必要な事。
because the world needs these qualities and will continue to do so into the future.
そして、是非、伝え続けて欲しい。
I hope they continue to share these qualities with foreigners, amidst their economic enrichment.
たくさんの外国人に、心の豊かさのもたらす素晴らしさを。
This richness of the mind, will bring about a bright future.
あなた達にはそれができる。なぜならば教師という素晴らしい職業だから。
You can do this through teaching which is a wonderful job.
たくさんの感動、幸せ、いっぱい教えてもらいました。
They taught me many moving things which made me happy.
思い出すたびに心が温かい気持ちになります。
Each time I will remember this, I will have the same warm feeling.
あなた達が発信した、小さな幸せが周りまわって
Small acts of sharing happiness in different places, will spread this positive feeling,
大きな幸せになり、地球全体を照らしてくれるよう
resulting in happiness emanating through out the world.
