Learning from the church 教会から学ぶ事

最近、日曜には教会に行くようにしてる。フィリピン人は敬虔なクリスチャンが多い。
I often go to the church on Sunday. in the Philippines there are many pious Christians.
彼らの事を深く知る事ができるのと、神聖な場所で心を浄化させる為に行くようにしてる。
Going to and learning about the church helps me to better understand Filipinos and
is also for the purification of my mind.
無宗教なのにそんなに教会に行く人も珍しいと思うけど、魂が喜んでいるようで居心地がいい。
There is rare because I am an atheist, but I go to church. My soul feels…perhaps glad…when I am there.

じゃあ、日本人はどうなんだろう？

普段の生活の中では「寄付する」という習慣はあるのだろうか？寄付っていうのは、
Do we have this habit in our daily lives?
「お金持ちが余ったお金を貧しい人にあげるもの」っていう認識が強いのではないだろうか？
Do we think this is only for the incredibly rich, who have much money to spare?
お金の本質とは「他人が幸せになるように正しく使うと、お金が自分を追いかけてくる」
The nature of money is that if you use correctly it for the happiness of others, it will come to you.
お金が余ってから寄付しようと思う人は、お金が余るようになるのは相当難しいだろう。
If you’re thinking that you will only donate when you have a surplus of money,
then obtaining this abundance will be difficult for you.
今出来る小さな事をしようと思う、「ハート」のある人がお金にも人にも好かれる人生になる。
If a person has a good heart, and is willing to help others in simple ways,
then good fortune and other people will follow. Action is key.
自分が苦しまない程度のコンビニのお釣りの５円とか１０円とか、そんな話だよ。
The simple change you get back after buying something is enough.
誤解のないように補足すると、寄付すればOK寄付しない人はダメっていう話をしてるのではなく
Please don’t misunderstand. This is not to say that those who don’t donate are not good.
文化的な違いからそういう背景がある国というのは学びが多いですよ、と言いたかっただけなのです。
I just want to say this, because this is what I’ve been learning in different cultures.
なんにせよ、どの宗教がいいとかではなく、忙しい毎日を忘れ、静かに他人の事を思い、
By the way, I’m not saying that one religion is better than another.
心を清らかにしてくれる教会が大好きです。
I just find that being in a church is comforting for the soul after a busy day.
